The issue edited by dr Natasza Styczynska covers a broad range of European topics and all articles are available in English. The last section of Politeja includes three research essays written by young scholars who participated in the course ‘Challenges to the European Identity - The Rebirth of Nationalisms in Europe’. The course is run by Prof. Zdzisław Mach and Dr. Joanna Orzechowska-Wacławska and is part of the Jean Monnet Module ‘Internal and External Challenges to the European Union’, which has been taught at the Institute of European Studies, Jagiellonian University in Krakow for the last three years and has attracted students from various programmes offered at the Faculty of International and Political Studies, as well as international exchange students studying at Jagiellonian University. Their perspectives on the challenges that the European Union is facing today seem to be very instructive.
